Classroom Rules
We have 6 rules in our classroom:
1. Raise your hand.
2. Be a friend.
3. Walk; don't run.
4. Listen.
5. Share.
6. Help clean up.
To monitor students' behavior, we use a clothespin clip chart (pictured to the right). Each student has a clothespin with his/her name written on it. At the beginning of the day, all students start off on green ("Happy Camper"). Depending on their behavior, students may move up or down the chart. Physical violence moves directly to red.
At the end of the day, students will record their color on a chart that stays in their take-home folder. Please take the time to review your child's behavior every day, whether it be positive or negative. This is a great opportunity to engage them in a dialogue about positive behavior.
